Educational Training Partners in partnership with Adults Teaching Adults, WAEYC, Washington State Child Care Resource and Referral Network and Schools Out Washington is hosting a conference specific to the needs of adult educators, mentors, coaches, and trainers. The people who attend this conference are from different professional focuses, geographic locations and personal cultures, offering a unique opportunity for participants to collaborate, network and learn together.
Our goal for the presentation topics is to provide learning opportunities that reflect best practice and current trends in adult education. The topic areas this year are:
- Innovative Adult Learning Theories and Practices
- Networking for the Adult Educator
- Encouraging Cultural Responsiveness in Adult Education
The professionals chosen to present will be asked to coordinate with the other presenters prior to the conference via conference calls or face to face meetings to ensure a synchronized training format. We are also asking that all presenters stay for at least the full day of presentations as the topics overlap and participants may want further insight into your topic. STARS credit will be provided but presenters do not have to be STARS approved. Presentation proposals will be reviewed by a committee. Chosen proposals and presenters will be notified by February 16, 2012.
